Born in Oakland, CA and raised in the bay area. Mr. Dorantes earned a degree in Behavioral Science and completed his B.A. degree in Social Sciences with a minor in African-American Studies at San Jose State University. He furthered his education by completing a Master's degree at Sacramento State University in the field of Education and later completing his Education Specialist credential through Fortune School of Education.
