Hi students, I'm Mrs. Hansen! Before pursuing a career as a PE teacher I was a Personal Trainer working with individuals with soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, and chronic pain syndrome. I decided I wanted to start focusing on injury prevention which lead me to pursue becoming a Physical Education teacher. I graduated from Chico State with a Bachelor in Kinesiology Physical Education Teacher Education and a minor in Coaching.
Hello Students! My name is Mrs. Smith. I played college softball at the East Carolina University where I received a full ride scholarship for pitching. I then transferred to CSU Chico to pursue a Bachelor degree and teaching credential in Physical Education. This is my 2nd year at Marysvile High School.
Hi. My name is Mrs. Anderson and I have enjoyed teaching since 1991. My lifelong love of exercise and sports began with gymnastics at age 5. In high school I played volleyball, basketball, and track and continued my favorite, basketball, into college. I have a Bachelors Degree from Sacramento State, a teaching credential from CSU Stanislaus, and a Masters Degree in psychology from the University of San Francisco. The majority of my career has been spent teaching PE here at MHS. As an adult I have enjoyed skiing, swimming, cycling, hiking, and running. I am a certified yoga instructor and still enjoy being physically active as much as I can. I teach the awesome Freshman in both PE and Freshman Seminar this year!
