READERS Can Do Anything!

The Accelerated Reader (AR) Contest is under way!

Are your kids’ reading and taking AR quizzes?

***Quizzes are taken on the RENAISSANCE APP in CLEVER at school and at home!

The AR contest runs from August 16, 2021 through May 16, 2022!

• For each book they read, there is a quiz to take.

• For every quiz they pass they earn points!

• Kids must be reading in their reading level, Mrs. K or your teacher can tell you this.

• Our goal is to pass the tests with 80% correct or better. If your child is not getting 80% or better please talk to the teacher or librarian to see what we can do to help your student select better books for them.

• Points can add up to mean Gold! Students are earning a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal!

• On top of earning a medal, when they earn the required weekly points, teachers will give out “Shark Bucks” to spend at our student store.

• The Shark Store will be open twice a month.

At the end of the contest we are awarding the Bronze, Silver & Gold Medals at the end of May.

There will also be a FREE T-Shirt for all gold medalists!

We already have many kids on track to earn medals!

Please encourage your kids to read every day and take their quizzes!

BEFORE SCHOOL 8:10-8:30 DURING LUNCH 11:30-12:40

AFTER SCHOOL 2:15-3:00 (MINIMUM DAYS 1:15-2:00)

TIP: Go to arbookfind.com to see if your books at home are AR most books have an AR test. You will see the level and can write down the quiz number.
