2025 - 2026 Goals for Browns Valley's PBIS Team!
EDUCATING STUDENTS AND PARENTS ON EVERYTHING PBIS
Teach, re-teach, and reinforce behavior expectations
Every year students will tour areas of the school, read the PBIS posters in all designated areas, and learn what is expected of them. Teachers will refer to these posters when addressing behavior concerns. These behaviors will be re-taught following all holiday breaks in order to remind students of the expectations. Students can earn a Beaver Bravo for following the expectations and reminding others. They can then purchase items or experiences from the Beaver Bravo Store. This reinforces their positive behavior.
Educating Parents about PBIS
Our Goals are to:
Continue to develop a website for parents to learn how we are implementing PBIS
Incorporate PBIS information in our monthly newsletter.
Train volunteers with the help of our school administrator regarding PBIS recognition and language.
RECOGNIZING GREAT THINGS
Student and Staff Public Recognition
Weekly recognition: Each Friday morning, a student from every class will be acknowledged for demonstrating outstanding behavior in one of four expectations: Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Problem Solvers.
Monthly Rallies: Once a month, teachers will recognize students for outstanding effort, work, and behavior!
Trimester Rallies: Teachers will recognize exceptional students three times a year for their effort, work, and behavior. Students will have the opportunity to achieve the Green, Gold, or Ultimate Level Beaver.
