ABOUT ME:
I am married, a mom to three boys, and passionate about reptiles! My family moved to Browns Valley from Orange County, California ten years ago. I have over 20 years of experience working in the education system and have been with MJUSD for eight years.
As an Outreach Consultant (ORC), I assist students and their families, facilitate Student Study Teams (SST), monitor student progress, and collaborate with teachers to enhance our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.
PURPOSE OF SST:
The purpose of the SST is to identify and intervene early in order to design a support system for students having difficulty in the school setting. It is an efficient way to bring together all resources (school, home and community) to help the student be successful.
TIER II REFERRAL - FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS THAT HAVE CONCERNS REGARDING A STUDENT AND WOULD LIKE THE SUPPORT TEAM TO CREATE A PLAN FOR IMPROVEMENT
WHAT IS PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools where all students succeed.
