In order to detect water, ZROM has two wires coated in a small layer of salt, when water comes into contact with these two wires, a circuit is created that will light up an LED using an Arduino. Within the box to the left, there is a circuit set up with an Arduino which when completed, turns on the LED on the top. The Arduino then sends a Bluetooth message alerting the owner.
View the video below to see ZROM in action during a simulation with running tap water. The video was recorded outside of the box which ordinarily holds ZROM's equipment to give a better view of what is happening within the box.
