CHALLENGE FOR SUMMER ASSIGNMENT: You can begin with map tutorials or jump right in. Either way, you must show that you spent at least 30 minutes playing geography games. You can do this by taking a SCREENSHOT of your scores. At the top of each map game is a link where you can monitor your scores. It also shows how long you played each game. To earn credit for this Challenge - you will need to provide screenshots totaling at least 30 minutes of play (see below) Put all the screenshots on one document and bring it to school on the first day to earn credit for this challenge!
Sheppard's Software is perhaps the BEST (free) geography game available. All students can use it to improve map skills -- You can study Capitals, Landscapes, and Geography; you can start easy and work your way up to REALLY hard!
You can play any level but try to challenge yourself and improve your map skills. Look below at the recommended list of items you should readily know at the beginning of the school year - start by learning these!!
