Marshfield Schools

Preparing each student for a successful future.

CURRENT OPERATING LEVEL: GREEN

Welcome Blue Jay family,

As the 2021-2022 school year gets into full swing, we want to make sure we keep all of our students, families, and staff up-to-date on how COVID-19 is impacting the district.

The data on this site is to provide our Blue Jay families and staff with a transparent summary of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases resulting in exclusion from school activities as directed from the Webster County Health Unit. The information on this site will be updated regularly when the district is notified of an active case.

The School District is reporting cases that are directly related to the school, not the community as a whole. County information is available through the Webster County Health Unit.

A COVID-19 Positive Case indicates that the person has been tested and received a report confirming that they have COVID-19. These individuals will be Isolated by the County Health Unit and will have to complete this isolation period before they can return to school.

If a person is in Quarantine, that does not mean they have had a positive COVID-19 test. Quarantine is the practice of separating individuals who have had close contact with someone with COVID-19. Quarantine reduces the risk of transmission if an individual is later found to have COVID-19.

As we are made aware of a positive COVID-19 case, we will work with the Webster County Health Unit to conduct contact tracing. Contact tracing is the process of identifying close contacts, or individuals that have been within 3 feet for 15 cumulative minutes or longer within 24 hours to a person with a confirmed positive case. Close contacts will be Quarantined by the County Health Unit. If the health unit does not contact you directly, it has been determined you or your child was not directly exposed to a known positive COVID-19 case.

As we work to keep students and staff safe during this pandemic, due to privacy requirements, we cannot release specific information regarding health details of staff and students. We will provide the following updates as new information is available.
