Employer Requirements
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the employment, safety, and compensation of students.
Provide the student a workplace mentor.
Collaboratively work with the student and Jays Work Coordinator to develop a set of competencies for the student to strive to achieve through the work-based learning experience.

Students applying can either be juniors or seniors.
Student interns may be employed for a semester or year.
1 school release hour = 4 weekly required work hours
2 school release hours = 8 weekly required work hours
3 school release hours = 12 weekly required work hours
If a student is apprenticeship seeking, the employment time frame and hours will be determined by the occupation of the apprenticeship in combination with the needs of the employer.
