The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the premier national walking event supporting inclusion, friendship, leadership development, and integrated employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It is held in 80 cities, and it brings communities together to raise funds and awareness to end the social and economic isolation of individuals with IDD.
The WVU chapter participates in the Pittsburgh Friendship Walk. The Pittsburgh Friendship Walk is our biggest event of the year. We walk to support all, no matter the disability; we are all one.

We host smaller monthly gatherings such as: game nights, movie nights, craft nights, campus sporting events, and community service projects. These events help strengthen buddy relationships in relaxed, supportive settings.
Each year, we promote awareness about intellectual and developmental disabilites through, education tabling events, social media campagins, campus partnerships, guest speakers, and interactive activities.
Out goal is to make inclusion visible and active across campus.
