I was born and raised in Northern NJ, and received my Associate of Science Degree in Biology from County College of Morris and my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Roanoke College. My passion for science lead me to West Virginia University, where I was able to pursue my love for research and teaching through the Doctoral Program in the Department of Biology. During my graduate career, I had the opportunity to teach four undergraduate level classes: two introductory biology labs, a sophomore level cell/molecular biology lab, and an advance recombinant DNA course. Additionally, I designed a course entitled "Model Organisms in Biological and Disease Research", which was available to honors students also enrolled in the sophomore level cell/molecular biology course. Given my joy of teaching, it was an honor to be recognized with the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assitant Award in the Biology Department for the 2018-2019 academic year. Since earning my Ph.D. in 2022, I moved to State College, PA to work as a postdoctoral scholar and lab manager at The Pennsylvania State University. In my free time, I enjoy thrifting/antiquing, baking, trying new foods, and planning fun activities to do with my friends and family.Â
