A state of the art research lab is being set up on the campus, for pursuing research on experimental investigations on mitigating Nano-dust explosion hazards. Techniche Engineering Private Limited (TEPL), an HSE company based out of Pune, India is an equal partner in this lab.
Unavailability of data from the industry is an aspect that is currently being worked upon. Efforts for initiation of additional joint industry projects are currently underway. Along with this, multiple avenues are being explored to set up experimental facilities in the department. These facilities will assist industry in solving the problems they face, and the students will gain significantly from the experience of having worked on such a facility. Availability of data, resources and such facilities for solving real-world industry problems would be beneficial for students in updating their knowledge database, as well as help them be productive from day one, when any of the group members join the industry.
The currently available resources for pursuing research are:
- Software Tools available in the department.
- SPE OnePetro for publicly available literature.
