The MIT Music Production Collaborative issued the first call for collaboration in IAP 2022. Six works were submitted by student DJs and published under on the MPC soundcloud,  The first album was published on MPC Collab Vol 1.

In 2023, MIT MPC issues a second call, this time with the requirement for verses to accompany the music. We extended the call to anyone in the MIT community, including alumni, grad students, staff. Any submissions with spoken words and an MIT-affiliated person (past or present) on the track would be considered. The result was MPCCollab: Vol 2.
