National Volunteer Month
30 Days of Service Challenge

April is National Volunteer Month and the Center for Service is inviting YOU to join our campus-wide 30 Days of Service Challenge!

Throughout the month of April, complete simple acts of service and help make a difference in our community. Each time you participate, post a photo or video on Instagram and tag @mwsu_serve to be entered into a gift card drawing at the end of the month!

Need ideas to get started? Try one of these:

-Pick up litter on campus or in your neighborhood

-Write thank you notes to first responders

-Donate items to a local nonprofit (clothing, food, hygiene items, household items)

-Give blood

-Volunteer at a local nonprofit

-Recycle items

-Deliver a meal to someone in need

-Host a clothing or food drive

-Help organize donations

-Clean up a local park

Every act of kindness counts. Let’s work together to make April a month of impact, one good deed at a time!

3rd Annual Move-Out Donation Drive

Monday, April 27th - Friday, May 8th

As you prepare to move out this spring, don’t throw away items that could help someone else! During our Donate Don’t Dump move-out donation drive, students are encouraged to give gently used clothing, décor, school supplies, unopened food, and other reusable items a second life instead of sending them to the landfill.

Donation collection sites will be located in the lobbies of Scanlon Hall, Vartabedian Hall, and Vaselakos during the final two weeks of the Spring semester.

Your items will be donated to local nonprofits to help support the clients they serve. Small items can make a big difference!
