Submitting your student attendance is very easy here at MVA! All attendance will be logged through the Parent Portal and archived each learning period. The learning periods (LPs) will be about every 20 school days. Final attendance with signature and date is due on the last day of the learning period. I will send you a separate email with your login information.
We will meet to discuss progress and review work samples every 20 school days. (About once a month) This is also a great time to get your questions answered and reach out for extra support with your homeschooling journey. Please bring a "body" of work, and be ready to discuss the grade-level standards (Utilizing the Year at a Glance Document or I Can Statement) that you have been working on. Year at a Glance and/or “I Can Statements” will help to identify the learning goals for your child for their grade level. At each learning period meeting, we work together to identify which I Can Statements your child will be learning during the next learning period.
Student work samples are required for each learning period to reflect the goals we have previously set for the learning period.
TK-8th Grade: You will select your child's BEST work samples from Math, Reading, Science, or Social Studies. As the school year approaches, I will provide you with a schedule of when and what to submit for each learning period.
High School: Students will submit one work sample from each course they are currently enrolled in.
