In December of 2023, the Mission of Hope and Redemption Food Pantry was born from a simple but powerful realization: hunger is a crisis we can solve together. We saw firsthand how families in our North Philadelphia Logan/Nicetown community struggled to put food on their tables, and we refused to stand by and do nothing. One Sunday, a vision was shared with the congregation—not just words of faith, but a call to action.
At first, the pantry was just a few boxes of donated food. But hope has a way of spreading, and soon volunteers stepped forward, local businesses offered support, and neighbors became family. What started as a humble effort grew into a cornerstone of the community, a place where people could find sustenance, connection, and the strength to face tomorrow.
Today, Mission of Hope and Redemption serves hundreds of neighbors every Thursday at 11:00AM, proving that when faith meets compassion, real change happens.

Mission of Hope and Redemption Food Pantry is more than a place to get groceries—it’s a movement of compassion. It started as a few boxes of donated food and quickly grew into a community cornerstone. Volunteers, local businesses, and neighbors come together to turn hope into action, ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors feel seen, valued, and loved. Today, we serve hundreds of people weekly, proving that faith and kindness can ignite meaningful change. “Do it with passion, or not at all.”
