Register for an exciting year with Mission Graduates! Join our Extended Day Program this year and discover exciting enrichment opportunities like art and STEM, get help with homework, have fun and lots more!
Program Times: Monday - Friday
Pick-up time will begin 5:30 pm. Program closed at 6:15 pm.
There is a $100 registration fee per student. With that amount, the student will be able to attend our program and receive our services for the entire school year!
At the registration page, on the right side of the screen please make sure to click "Bessie Carmichael." Under the school name click "View Class Offerings."

Hay una cuota de $100 por la inscripción por cada estudiante. Por esa cuota el estudiante podrá atender el programa y recibir nuestros servicios por todo el año escolar.

Mayroon $100 bayad sa pagpaparehistro bawat mag-aaral. Sa pagbayad, ang mag-aaral ay maari dumalo sa aming programa at tumangap ng mga serbisyo namin sa isang buong taon!

My name is Alejandro Peña. I was born and raised in Mexico in a very small farming town and migrated to the US at the age of 17. I am the eleven out of twelve kids and the only one with a formal education. My entire professional career has been in education for students and families from Middle school, High school, college and post graduate education holding positions of Counselor, recruiter, Director and Assistant Vice President. “We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community…Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sake and for our own.” Cesar E. Chavez This quote is something I believe in. By joining Mission Graduates, I believe I am doing that; empowering our students and families to reach their full potential. I am looking forward to working with all of you and serve you in a way that I can provide the tools needed for you, students and families, to succeed in school and life. Mi nombre es Alejandro Peña. Yo nací y me crie en México en un ranchito de agricultura y emigré a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 17 años. Vengo de una familia de 12 hijo siendo yo el 11 y el único con una educación formal. Toda mi Carrera profesional ha sido en educación para los estudiantes y familias de escuela media, secundaria, colegio y posgrado en posiciones de consejero, reclutador, director y asistente al vicepresidente. “No podemos buscar suceso para nosotros mismos y olvidarnos de el progreso y prosperidad de nuestra comunidad…Nuestras ambiciones deben ser lo suficientemente extensas que incluyan la aspiración de otros por su bien y el de nosotros.” Cesar E. Chávez Este pensamiento es algo en lo que yo creo. Al unirme a Mission Graduates, yo creo que estoy hacienda eso; dándole el poder a nuestros estudiantes y sus familias al alcanzar su potencial. My name is Priscila Trejo-Martinez, I was born in Mexico and grew up in San Francisco's Mission District. I have been part of the MG family since Gradeschool as a student, College Connect Program Scholar throughout highschool & college and a staff member since 2011. Throughout these past years I have dedicated my work and applied my Child Development Youth and Out of School Time knowledge in various schools throughout the Mission. I am thrilled to be part of Bessie this year and continue to support students and families, access and achieve higher education. Mi nombre es Priscila Trejo-Martinez, nací en México y crecí en el Distrito de la Misión de San Francisco. He sido parte de la familia MG desde la escuela primaria como estudiante, becario del programa College Connect durante la escuela secundaria y la universidad y miembro del personal desde 2011. A lo largo de estos últimos años, he dedicado mi trabajo y he aplicado mis conocimientos sobre desarrollo infantil, jóvenes y fuera de la escuela, en varias escuelas de la Misión. Estoy encantada de ser parte de Bessie este año y continuar apoyando a los estudiantes y sus familias, acceder y lograr una educación superior. Espero trabajar y colaborar con todos los socios comunitarios y el personal de Bessie y continuar esforzándonos como una comunidad multicultural. My name is Allyka E. Ladisla and I'm one of the Beacon Assistant Directors with Mission Graduates. I have worked with Mission Graduates for four years, previously as an Extended Day Program Teacher. And I'm glad to spend my 5th year here with you, serving families and students at Bessie Charmichael. We're thrilled to be joining such a wonderful and lively community. My name is Ate Charm. I am very excited to be part of FEC Galing Bata this year working with Mission Graduates After School Beacon Program. My name is Ate Shari. I am the Program Coordinator of FEC Galing Bata Program. I am very excited that FEC Galing Bata is partnering with Mission Graduates for the Bessie Beacon Program. I look forward to providing quality guidance, care and protection to the students; continuing to build/strengthen relationships with all of you; and be of service to the families, school and the community here in SOMA Pilipinas: San Francisco’s Filipino Cultural Heritage District. I’m also really passionate about teaching our youth the Filipino language, history, values and culture. I started in FEC Galing Bata as a volunteer last 2005 and I have been with Galing Bata for almost 15 years now. I feel very blessed to find a second home and a family in Galing Bata. Nasasabik akong magbigay ng gabay, lingap at bantay sa mga mag-aaral; ipagpatuloy na buuin/pagtibayin ang relasyon sa inyong lahat; at na makapagbigay serbisyo para sa mga pamilya, paaralan at komunidad natin dito sa SOMA Pilipinas: Distrito ng Pamanang Kultura ng mga Filipino sa San Francisco. Gustung-gusto ko rin na maturuan ang ating mga kabataan tungkol sa ating wika, kasaysayan, mga magagandang asal at kulturang Filipino. Nag-umpisa ako bilang isang boluntaryo sa FEC Galing Bata noong 2005 at ako ay bahagi ng Galing Bata sa loob ng halos labing-limang taon na.
