In 2019, Mission CISD and South Texas College jointly created Mission Veterans Memorial Early College High School. This unique school, is specifically designed to provide students the opportunity to begin college during the tenth grade. This program enables students to progress in four years from the ninth grade through the first two years of college earning both their HB5 high school diploma and an Associates from South Texas College.
Students who are a part of the MVMECHS family, are able to participate in high school activities and extra-curricular program throughout their four years in high school. Under this model, MVMECHS provides dual credit at no cost to students; offers rigorous instruction and accelerated courses; provides academic and social support services to help students succeed; increases college readiness; and reduces barriers to college access.
Our commitment to our MVMECHS community is that we prepare, nurture and guide our students to achieve excellence in all areas. We have created a great partnership with South Texas College. This partnership will remove any perceived educational obstacles for our students in their personal goals and dedication to earn an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, and beyond.
