Google Takeout allows users to transfer content from their MHS Google account to a personal Google account. This process lets you to keep important files and emails after you graduate. The process is easy to set up but the transfer can take a few days to complete. You'll receive an email notification after everything has been copied to your personal account.
Note: Make sure that your personal Google account has enough storage space for all of your data. Free Google accounts come with 15GB of storage, while MHS accounts have unlimited storage. To see how much space you're using, go to Google Drive in each account and look in the lower left. You can purchase more storage space for your personal Google account through Google One if necessary.
What you can transfer:
Email in Gmail
Your Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other files in Google Drive
Files shared with you that have been "Added to Drive"
What you can't transfer:
Files in Shared drives
Files in which you are a viewer, not an editor or owner
Files where the owner has turned off download, print, and copy options
Files in the "Shared with me" folder that have not been "Added to Drive"
You can access Google Takeout at https://takeout.google.com/transfer.
Log in using your MHS email address and password.
Enter the email address that you'll be transferring your data to and click the Send Code button..
Check your personal Gmail inbox for a confirmation email from Google. In the email, select Get confirmation code. A new tab will open with a code. Enter it on this screen and then click the Verify button.
Turn on the options for both Drive and Gmail, verify that data is going to transfer from your MHS account to you personal Google account, and then click the Start Transfer button.
