The student athletic trainer aide program at Mercedes High School is designed to introduce high school students to the field of athletic training or other allied health professions. Students with an interest in athletic training, physical therapy, exercise science, paramedics, nursing or other fields are encouraged to enter the program. Students will gain knowledge in injury care and are supervised by Mercedes' certified and licensed athletic trainers. Students volunteer their time in the athletic training room, and also will gain experience at athletic events and games. To apply to the Student Athletic Trainer Program please speak with Georgina and Coach Garcia about the application process.
** Please note: You must discuss this with Georgina and Coach Garcia prior to sending the student athletic trainer handbook agreement. The handbook is here for reference of information about the program. Thank you!**
