These scholarships range from August 2023-May 2024

Many of these scholarships require letters of recommendations and essays. Please prepare these ahead of time so you can just submit as the year goes on.

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

Career goals which will be enabled by higher education
Community activities over the past few years
Academic achievements
School activities
Financial need
Employment experience
Masonic affiliations
Services previously received from Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas
Letters of recommendation

A limited number of scholarships are available, and priority will be given to Masonic affiliation. Race or ethnic considerations are not asked for nor considered. Funding is not guaranteed and is based upon the availability of funds. The ultimate determination on the awarding of scholarships will be made by the Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas in its sole discretion.

REQUIREMENTS:

a. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

b. Students must be a senior in high school and must be a graduate from high school by the Spring or Summer of 2024.

c. Must upload one full page essay in the Upload Documents Section. Essay topic: Tell us about a time that you failed and what you learned from it. (Failure to do so will disqualify the applicant)

d. Must upload 2 letters of recommendation described in Upload Documents Section. These cannot be submitted separately. (Failure to include 2 letters of recommendation will disqualify applicant).

e. If a scholarship is awarded, students will need to provide a tuition bill from the accredited college or university, or an approved trade school at a later date. This DOES NOT have to be submitted at this time. Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas will send the scholarship recipients an email with details / requirements.

ALL SECTIONS MUST BE COMPLETE FOR APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED.
