CPR & AED Training
CPR & AED Training
Texas law now requires students in grades 7–12 to receive CPR and AED training at least once before graduating.
What does this mean for you?
You will learn the basics of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
You will also learn how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
You only need to complete this training once before graduation.
The training does not have to result in a CPR/AED certification.
If the course does include certification, it must be taught by an instructor authorized by a nationally recognized organization such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Why does it matter?
Knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED can help you respond in an emergency and potentially save a life.
Make sure you complete your required CPR & AED training before you graduate!
