Sight Words: review all sight words

Phonics: We will decode words with vowel diphthongs au/aw.

Reading: We will use writing and illustrations to understand what the book is about in the story. We will make inferences about the setting and characters based on the evidence provided in the story. We will listen to a story or read independently (DEAR time).

Writing: We will use the writing process to compose text.

Math: We will explain what a digit in the hundreds place represents and write a number in expanded form. We will use place value to help me determine which number is greater and order numbers on an open number line. We will define income as money earned and describe the difference between spending and saving. We will identify income as a way to buy goods and services and discuss charitable giving.

Science: We will review how young resemble their parents.

**Please work with your child to review ALL sight words we learned this year. Giving them a practice test will help them prepare for their report card assessment this week.
