Virtual Talent Show
Boren is full of amazing talent! Check out the Virtual Talent Show. Way to go Bears!!
Summer
The Boren Backpack will stay published all summer. Feel free to use the programs, lessons, and resources found here to keep your child's skill sharp and ready for the next grade level. No new lessons will be added and some publishers may change access levels so please understand not all links may work.
Access to Digital Books
Commissioner Morath announced a partnership with myON by Renaissance to give all students, PreK-12th grade, access to over 6,000 books. You can access MyOn here using the following username: read and password: myon. This is a great resource for students to keep reading all summer long!
ClassLink
11,486 elementary students still have not set up their password recovery step in ClassLink. It’s VERY HELPFUL for them to do this because it allows them to reset their own password so they’re not locked out of ClassLink, Teams, Google, etc.
There is a notification that pops up whenever they open ClassLink with instructions on how to reset it.
Please have your child reset their password to ensure they can still access programs this summer.

Instruction
There are no new lessons in the Backpack this week. However, teachers have added an extension and maintenance section to each grade level page. This section is included for students who have completed all required work from previous weeks and is not required.
If students needs time to get caught up from previous weeks, now is the time. All work must be submitted by May 22nd for teachers to determine progress/grades. Teachers are still available from 8 am-4 pm Monday through Friday until the end of the year (May 28th). Email responses may not be immediate as teachers are having to meet end of year requirements. Please be patient and they will respond as soon as possible.
As always, we highly encourage students to read 20-30 minutes daily and practice number concepts such as counting, ordering, comparing, as well as addition/subtraction for younger grades and multiplication division for upper grades daily.
Our wonderful Enrichment team (PE, Music, Art, and Computers) have an amazing section in the Backpack. Take some time to check out the fabulous lessons these teachers have prepared.

Please make plans to come by Boren to pick up your child's belongings. Teachers have collected all items from the classrooms. Our goal with the Boren Backpack is to help streamline and lessen the stress for families during this time. Please feel free to complete as much or as little work each day as works for your family. Only the highlighted assignments need to be submitted to teachers. Teachers are giving grace with completion deadlines and here to support families during this time. If you have specific concerns, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher. Thank you for your patience and flexibility through this process. #StrongerTogether
