The Challenge

As ND Defense (https://www.nddefense.com/) expanded its mission-critical capabilities beyond tactical wheeled vehicles into UAVs, microgrids, maritime subsystems, and advanced energy solutions, they needed a high-impact visual narrative to showcase this multi-domain footprint. Capturing these diverse environments through traditional production would typically require multi-location live-action film crews, complex logistics for military and maritime hardware, or months of building bespoke 3D scenes from scratch—resulting in steep budgets and extended timelines.

The Mirari Solution

We bypassed traditional production bottlenecks by deploying a hybrid AI, CGI, and 3D pipeline:

AI-Driven Motion from Static Photography:

Rather than staging costly on-location photo and video shoots across air, sea, and land environments, Mirari utilized generative AI tools to transform existing static imagery into dynamic, cinematic running footage.

Pilatus builds world-class aircraft where precision, luxury, and performance are paramount. Their digital presence needed to reflect this same standard of excellence. A standard configurator wouldn’t suffice. They needed an immersive experience that could both educate prospective buyers about the aircraft’s features and allow for deep, visually stunning personalization.

For this immersive solution we collaborated with the Swiss design team from Januar, Innouveau, and Klaas Nienhuis Studio. Mirari provided the 3D asset development, animations and project management.

- 3D Guided Tour: Users can explore the PC-12 PRO and PC-24, with interactive hotspots that reveal details, videos and allow manipulation of the doors and landing gear. It’s a self-guided discovery that builds desire and understanding.
- Advanced 3D Configurator: Transitioning to the configurator, users can personalize their aircraft. The technical highlight is our use of real-time texture manipulation via meticulously crafted SVG files. This technique allows for incredibly crisp, detailed, and dynamic changes to liveries and materials that standard texture-swapping cannot achieve.

Once a design is perfected, users can download beautiful renders, generate a personalized PDF brochure, or share a link.

Ford GT RELAUNCH

When Ford relaunched the legendary GT, a key element of the digital experience was its online configurator and a unique application and ownership process.

Here's how the digital experience enhanced the Ford GT relaunch:

Online Configurator: Ford launched a website, FordGT.com, allowing potential customers and enthusiasts to build and customize their dream Ford GT virtually.

The configurator showcased a variety of options including paint colors, stripes, wheels, and interior themes. Users could easily share their personalized configurations on social media.

Exclusive Application and Ownership Experience: Due to the limited production of only 500 vehicles in the first two years, Ford implemented a unique application process to select potential owners. The application process could be initiated online via FordGT.com.

We were responsible for the creation of all CGI digital assets for the launch, build-and-price, social media and more!

In essence, the Ford GT's digital experience in 2016 combined an engaging online customization tool with a highly exclusive and personalized customer journey, reflecting the vehicle's unique and high-performance nature.

First of its kind AR experience, linking a physical model to a real-time Unreal Engine, Mirari collaborated with Ford's Experiential Agency, Imagination.
