The 2026 season will be Coach Heather Glines’ first year as head coach of the Minot High School varsity girls swimming and diving team. Coach Glines joins Minot from Wahpeton,where she built an extensive background in the sport. She competed for 10 years at the club leveland spent six years on the varsity team, earning multiple state qualifications and All-Conference honors twice during her high school career. Following her graduation from Wahpeton High School in 2016, Coach Glines earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of North Dakota and a Master’s Degree in administration from the University of Mary. After her first year of teaching, she returned to Wahpeton, where she taught second grade for five years.During her time in Wahpeton, Glines remained deeply involved in swimming. She served as an assistant coach for the Breckenridge-Wahpeton Club Swim Team for five years and was the head varsity coach of the Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm for three years.In addition to her new coaching role, Coach Glines will teach second grade at South Prairie Elementary School this fall and assist with the Minot Swim Club. She is excited to bring her years of experience, enthusiasm, and passion to build upon an already great program with the Minot Majettes.
Coach McPeak was born and raised in Minot where she competed as a 3-sport athlete at Minot High School. She was named MHS Supreme Athlete in 1982. She went on to compete in Gymnastics for Minot State. She also began her coaching career in gymnastics and swimming at the Jr High Level. She has been coaching and officiating since 1983. She started her high school coaching career in 1997 and has been coaching boys and/or girls high school and has been the diving coach since that time. She also coached with ASK Swim and Minot Swim Club. Coach McPeak is retired from working 9-1-1 for 34 years. She is married to Kevin and they have 4 kids, Megan, Kyle, Karley and David. She also has 5 grandchildren.
