Advisor Evaluations
In addition to the clinic and tryout evaluations, every cheerleader must obtain at least one Advisor Evaluation. This is an opportunity for an advisor (such as a teacher, coach, or mentor) to provide honest feedback about the cheerleading candidate.
Evaluation Details:
Each cheerleader must submit at least one evaluation. Multiple evaluations are allowed, and the total scores will be averaged.
The Advisor Evaluation will assess the cheerleader's adherence to our Core Values (SAWSI) and our 3 pillars to success: Physical Health, Mental Health, and Spiritual Health. The evaluation is an important part of the tryout process and will be scored as part of the overall tryout score.
The feedback provided will not be shared with the cheerleader. It is used solely for the evaluation process.
How to Submit the Advisor Evaluation:
Share this link with your advisor: https://tinyurl.com/JETSADVISOREVAL
Advisor Evaluation Scoring:
Each question will be rated on a scale from 0 to 5, where 0 is the lowest and 5 is the highest.
Advisors will also have the option to add notes after each question.
Judging Criteria
Judges will evaluate cheerleaders based on the following:
Cheer: Execution of motions, voice projection, knowledge of material, and energy.
Dance: Sharpness of motions, placement, energy, and knowledge of material.
Stunting: Proper posture, execution, technique, and energy.
Attitude: Positive attitude, teamwork, spirit, and respectfulness.
Coachability: Ability to follow directions, stay on task, accept correction, and ensure safety.
Remember - the goal is NOT perfection! Do your best, keep motions strong and tight, and keep going if you make a mistake!
Slowed down, Instruction is Provided
