Class overview

Students will participate in a variety of class discussions and activities that are designed to help them master the concepts covered this year. The math curriculum is designed to build on the students' prior knowledge and we will be following the new Florida B.E.S.T. standards. It will include instruction in the areas of: The Number System, Expressions and Equations, Ratios & Proportional Relationships, Statistics, Probability, and Geometry.

About me:

First and foremost, I would like to welcome all of you to middle school and particularly, 6th grade Math. To give you a little bit of background on me, I am a very proud University of Florida graduate....GO GATORS!!! This will be my 22nd year of teaching 6th grade math and my 7th year teaching here at Minneola. This will also be my third year of teaching Pre-Algebra to sixth graders. I love math and have fun doing it. As a result, I try to convey that same love and passion in my teaching and hope you too will share my enthusiasm for this awesome subject!
