Miss Fettner's Firsties
Welcome to First Grade!
Hi!
My name is Miss Fettner and I am your child’s first grade teacher! This is my eighth year teaching here at Minneola Charter. I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching at this amazing school. I am excited for all the learning and exploring we will do together in first grade!
I graduated from Taylor University, in Indiana, and I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts. I love to teach all subjects but I especially love teaching reading. I love seeing kids fall in love with a story.
I moved to Lake County eight years ago. I was born and raised in Indiana. I am continually looking for more places to check out in this beautiful state. I recently bought a house and have been loving life as a new homeowner. My cat, Mozzy, is loving having so many windows to watch lizards from! I also have a class guinea pig named Elliot. I recently started fostering kittens and have collected a few. :)
I am very excited to have your child in my classroom! I believe that by all of us working together we can make this a very successful year. I know a partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. One of my continual goals is parent communication. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or if you just want to talk about your child’s education.
