Welcome to Kindergarten!
My students will be taught in a caring, safe environment where they will be encouraged to reach their maximum growth in each subject area while being aware of their needs in order to achieve their potential. Social skills as well as academics will be addressed in our learning environment. The growth mindset is utilized to assist in the overall growth of each student. One of the focuses is to create a love of learning in order to establish a firm foundation for the student's educational career.
About me
I was born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. I have lived in Texas and Puerto Rico as well. Therefore, I've had very rich cultural experiences. I have resided in Minneola for 8 years now.
I have an 18 year old son, and a grand-puppy, Mateo, a 2 year-old hairy Chihuahua.
I enjoy reading, writing poetry, drawing, and painting. I collect crosses, books, and positive quotes.
My Education
I attended the University of Central Florida and the University of Texas at San Antonio where I received my bachelor's degree with a magna cum laude in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Special Education and minoring in Psychology. I am certified in Primary Education, Elementary Education, Exceptional Education, Autism, Reading, and ESOL.
