JSTOR Daily - an online magazine that reports on science, history, health, politics, and more. Posted articles are generally based on JSTOR entries. Editorially, they often present views with a liberal perspective 

Religion News Service - Religion News Service (RNS) is a news agency covering religion, ethics, spirituality, and moral issues. Based at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., RNS has a network of correspondents worldwide, providing news and information on all faiths and religious movements to the nation’s leading newspapers, news magazines, broadcast organizations, and religious publications.

The New York Times Magazine - The NYT looks at the issues from a progressive perspective and is regarded as “liberal.” Considered one of the most reliable sources for news information due to proper sourcing and well-respected journalists/editors.

Associated Press -  a multinational not-for-profit global news agency founded in 1846 and headquartered in New York City. Slightly left-leaning bias in editorial writing. See Fact Check page for verification of current news stories. 

The Christian Science Monitor - an international news organization that delivers global coverage via its website, weekly magazine and other media. News reporting is generally not religious, and those that are religious in nature are clearly labeled.

The Defense News - offers commentaries and opinions from military and industry decision-makers that frame the global debate about defense policy, programs and strategy

The Financial Times - an English-language international broadsheet daily newspaper with emphasis on business and economic news. The paper originates from London, UK and is considered the most important business read by marketing survey firms. (Create account using MA email for free access)

Media Bias Fact Check - an independent website that promotes awareness of media bias and misinformation by rating the bias, factual accuracy, and credibility of media sources;  relies on human evaluators to determine the bias of media sources and the level of overall factual reporting through a combination of objective measures and subjective analysis using stated methodology

Society of Professional Journalists - Code of Ethics

Accountable Journalism - a compilation of international codes of media ethics from around the world 

The American Conservative - a bi-monthly journal of right-leaning opinion founded in 2002 in opposition to the Iraq War.

Christianity Today - an evangelical Christian periodical that reports on news and politics from a moderate Christian perspective. Story selection often leans right, and editorially, the magazine favors conservative positions. Limited online access.

The Deseret News - Founded in 1850, The Deseret News is a broadsheet newspaper published in Salt Lake City. It is Utah’s oldest continuously published daily newspaper. The editorial tone is usually described as moderate to conservative and is often assumed to reflect the values of its owner, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

National Affairs  - a quarterly magazine in the United States about political affairs. Founding editor Yuval Levin and other writers for the magazine are typically conservative. Most stories favor right-leaning interests and use minimally loaded language in headlines and articles.
