Auditioned Ensemble for Kids! 

Ages 8-15 (Those in Encore! last year, do not need to audition)

Mondays 4:30-5:45pm

Course Description: This is an exciting choir for students as they learn how to read music, practicing both unison and part singing. They will creatively apply fundamentals of singing to include correct breathing, posture, diction, expression and articulations needed in excellent tone production as an independent singer and achieve choral blend and balance as a choir member. This group will have the opportunity to perform at MAC Choral concerts, MAC Home games and the annual Dessert Theater, MAFAA recitals, community events and vocal festivals, like Six Flags, to represent the Mineral Arts Fine Arts Academy.

Students will enjoy singing across a wide variety of musical styles with united voices in harmony through unique performance opportunities! 4:45-5:00pm will kick off each rehearsal with fun, games and musical interaction, where students can participate in leadership roles, earn prizes, socialize and so more!

Non-auditioned Ensemble for Kids! 

Ages 5-8 /16-week semester course

Thursdays 4:00-4:50pm

Course Description: Do you love to sing with friends and learn music in a fun, hands-on way? This choir is for you! Students will learn the fundamentals of singing alone and with others through a variety of learning activities that include movement, games and musical exploration.

Students will discover and apply basic singing techniques across a wide variety of music styles and have the opportunity to perform during the MAFAA recitals. We'll kick off each rehearsal with games and social interaction where students can earn prizes and more! This class is a prerequisite for the Encore! Kids Chorale.
