About Us
The Mineola ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2016 for the purpose of awarding grants to Mineola ISD staff. The grants awarded are for teaching tools and programs outside the normal budget.
Executive Director
Xan Roberts is a 2007 graduate of Mineola High School. She and her husband, Brandon, are raising two sons that currently attend MISD. Xan likes to be involved with the community and her church and is proud to work for MISD.
Board
Jason Ray (President)- Jason Ray is a 1998 graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration.
Jason is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and has over twenty years of experience in the financial service industry.
He serves on numerous committees and boards in Mineola and Wood County.
Jason’s wife, Jole, is the Principal at Mineola Primary School.
Kim Galyean (Vice President of Marketing and Events) is a 1980 MHS graduate. She is married to Bill Glayean, a 1977 MHS graduate. They have two children who also graduated from MHS (2004 and 2009). They have four grandchildren, Cooper, Owen, Maggie and Emmie Lou. Kim serves on numerous boards in Mineola. Kim and her husband own Galyean Homes and have been building in the Mineola and Wood County area for over 30 years.
Martha Holmes (Vice President of Programs and Grants) is an alumni of MISD from the class of “78 and a retired MISD teacher. Martha is a founding member of the Education Foundation and serves as the Vice President in charge of Programs and Grants. Martha is excited to remain active in the field of education by helping the teachers and students of the present and the future.
Abby Hooton is a proud 2004 graduate of Mineola High School. She and her husband, Steve (MHS Class of '97), have two boys who currently attend MISD.
Abby is a 2008 graduate of Baylor University where she earned a Master of Taxation degree. She is a CPA and enjoys volunteering in the community and at her church.
Kendra Van Matre (Secretary) lives in Mineola with her husband TJ and their 3 children. Kendra and TJ are originally from the Houston area an moved to Mineola looking for a small town with the same core values and beliefs as their own. Kendra is a self-employed online fitness and nutrition coach helping women build confidence and strength.
Jill Quiambao a 1992 MISD graduate and has been back in Mineola since 2003. She and her husband have two children, Makena and Camden in the school district. Jill has served on the Mineola School Board since 2012. She is proud to serve as the school board trustee representative on the Mineola Education Foundation board since its inception. It is an exciting role to be involved in giving thousands of dollars back to the students and faculty for their quality education and to see how the community supports our school.
Pat Hamlett is a 1974 MHS graduate and has 3 sons that are also Mineola graduates, Heath (1996), Josh (2000) and Clayton (2007). Pat has been a licensed Texas realtor for 33 years.
Christi Gully is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminology and Corrections. Christi is a proud parent of two Mineola graduates, Bailey and Brady. Christi’s husband, Kyle, is the local doctor and served on the Mineola School Board for 18 years. Currently, Christi is a small business owner of Everlee Jane and Everlee Jane Home.
Crystal Patschke has lived in Mineola for over 15 years and is the co-owner of Envy Stylz Boutique. Her son, Tad graduated from MHS in 2020 and her two daughters, Greenly and Danika will graduate from Mineola in 2030. Crystal is highly involved in the community and Rotary.
Jennifer Abercrombie is a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce. Jennifer is a licensed loan officer with Guild Mortgage in Mineola with over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
She and her husband, Adam, have one son that attends Mineola ISD. They enjoy spending their time watching him play sports, especially travel baseball. He is also involved in Junior FFA and shows pigs.
Kelsey Crenshaw is married to her husband, Jared Crenshaw (MHS class of 08’). They moved back to East Texas after graduating PTA school in College Station. She and her husband have two children, which attend MISD. Kelsey loves being involved in her children’s activities and helping out where she can. She is also a family photographer who loves capturing families in each season of life. She is excited to be a part of the MEF and giving back.
Lori Puckett (Vice President of Finance and Governance) is an AVP/Lender at City National Bank in Mineola. She is married and has two grown children; Thomas and Samantha and four grandbabies. She has a degree in photography but banking/numbers became her passion 30 years ago along with baking and creating pretty sweets. She loves to volunteer and believes you get the most out of life by giving back.
Carey Adams is married to her wonderful husband, Chase. Together they are raising three girls that keep them busy with their extra activities. Her husband graduated from Mineola in 2007 and because of that, they decided Mineola ISD would be the best fit for their family. Carey has been a loan officer with Guild Mortgage for 8 years. She enjoys helping people reach their goal of homeownership and being there during such a huge accomplishment.
