Mind Over Tutors, Inc. is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to helping individuals and communities build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to navigate a rapidly changing world.
Since our founding, education has been at the center of our work. As technology has transformed how people learn, work, communicate, and participate in society, our mission has evolved to address both the opportunities these changes create and the barriers they can introduce.
Today, our work spans digital literacy and computer skills, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, accessible online learning, professional and leadership development, and instructional design. We use technology not simply as a delivery tool, but as a means of expanding access to meaningful learning experiences.
We serve individuals, communities, educational institutions, and organizations through online learning, virtual instruction, educational resources, and thoughtfully designed learning experiences. Across our work, the goal remains consistent: help people develop practical knowledge they can use to learn, adapt, participate, and grow.

Learning creates opportunity. Access to meaningful education can expand what individuals and communities are able to do and become.
Technology should expand access—not create new barriers. As digital tools and artificial intelligence reshape society, people need opportunities to develop the knowledge and confidence to participate.
People can continue learning throughout life. Learning is not limited by age, career stage, educational background, or previous experience.
Practical learning matters. Knowledge becomes more powerful when people can apply it to the challenges they encounter in work, education, and everyday life.
Innovation should serve people. We explore emerging technologies because of their potential to improve learning, expand access, and create new opportunities.

Mind Over Tutors approaches education as a continuing process of learning, application, adaptation, and growth. We design learning experiences around four principles:
Accessible — Learning should be designed so that more people can meaningfully participate.
Practical — Learners should be able to connect knowledge to real situations and challenges.
Engaging — Effective learning requires active participation, curiosity, reflection, and application.
Adaptive — Education must continue evolving as technology, workplaces, communities, and learner needs change.
Our Story
Our Story
Mind Over Tutors, Inc. began in 1997 with a commitment to education and a belief that learning can create opportunity. Our earliest work focused primarily on helping K–12 students strengthen their academic skills and gain greater confidence as learners.
As technology changed how people accessed information and education, our work evolved with it. We became increasingly interested in how emerging web and mobile technologies could expand learning beyond traditional classrooms and create new opportunities for people with different backgrounds, experiences, and learning needs.
In 2016, Mind Over Tutors entered a new chapter. We expanded our focus beyond traditional K–12 education to include leadership and professional development and established Mind Over Tutors, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our purpose increasingly centered on helping communities understand and use emerging web and mobile technologies to empower today's diverse learners.
That purpose has become even more relevant as artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies rapidly reshape education, work, and everyday life. The tools have changed, but the fundamental question remains: How do we ensure that advances in technology expand opportunity rather than leave people behind?
Today, Mind Over Tutors brings together decades of experience in education, learning design, technology, professional development, and organizational learning. Through digital literacy, AI and emerging technology education, accessible online learning, leadership and professional development, and instructional design, we continue adapting our work to meet the needs of a changing world.
