As a Milwaukee Public School teacher, a School Improvement Implementer, Office of Civil Rights (OCR) district team member, Special Assistant to the Deputy Superintendent (underfill), Assistant Principal, and Principal, I have improved the quality of students’ learning experiences and educational outcomes while focusing on building strong collaboration and communication systems with staff and families. As an experienced principal, I will bring the fullness of my experience to create an enriching environment for the entire learning community.

Experience: Principal, Starms Centers
Created and monitored two budgets yearly for Starms Early Childhood and Starms Discovery Learning Center.
Created and monitored our School Improvement Plan with our Learning Team, resulting in increased attendance, lowered behavior referrals and suspensions, and improved academic achievement in reading and math three years in a row.
Established and nurtured community partnerships that had a positive impact on student achievement.
Winner of the 2024 Princi-Pal Award for the Central Region.

Created monitoring systems to ensure the successful completion of district initiatives.
Visited and provided school improvement resources to over 100 schools.
Supported the implementation of the Superintendent’s policies and district Bilingual Education Initiatives and Resolution 1415R-003 (Bilingual expansion and programming, parent engagement and marketing, DMMAC) and Bilingual Grow Your Own Course development for MPS staff.
Lead district participation in the 2019 LULAC conference and the MPS Language & Culture Fairs.
Created Qualtrics and Smartsheet forms to monitor systems and progress.
Created infographics to communicate district initiatives better using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
