LibraryNow is a partnership between the Milwaukee Public Library and Milwaukee Public Schools. This partnership allows MPS students in grades 1st through 12th to access the many digital resources offered by the Milwaukee Public Library. These resources are available 24/7. Students log in using their 7 digit MPS student ID number, and the password is the year the student was born.

When signing up for an account with any of these resources it is important to go through the Library Now website to access the databases. You also need to use your MPS email address where an email address is requested.

Freegal is a collection of music, music videos, and audiobooks that you can download or stream for free through the Milwaukee Public Library’s Library Now program.
It is a vast collection of over 15+ million songs from over 200+ genres.
Users are allowed to stream 7 hours of music a day.
Users are allowed to download 5 songs/music videos a week.

Free Test Prep for ACT, AP & career - related exams
Free test prep for the ACT, AP, GRE, GED, and career-related tests for example Military, or Nursing license exams. The study materials for the Citizenship exam can be used by students to study for the WI Civics Graduation requirement The program also contains resources for educators and career preparation materials.

ProCitizen is an interactive, self-paced program that covers the civics, reading, and writing portions of the U.S. Naturalization Test, and can be used by high school students in Wisconsin to study for the exam that is required for Civics Graduation requirement, which is required for high school graduation.

Kanopy is an online streaming resource of over 30,000 films to fuel lifelong learning. This resource is available through the Milwaukee Public Library’s LibraryNow program and is free to MPS students and staff. It is a collection of high-quality films that includes featured titles, documentaries, independent cinema, world cinema, kid’s shows, classics, and award-winning movies. MPS has blocked this site for students.
