School Counseling Curriculum: The school counselor is responsible for implementing the Comprehensive School Counseling Curriculum in all classrooms from 3rd-12th grade. Classroom curriculum includes interest and skill inventories, career exploration, SMART goals/study skills, test taking strategies, tips for organization, and more. Classroom guidance typically occurs bi-weekly at the elementary level, and monthly at the middle school level.
Second Step is a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum delivered to all students in grades 3-8. It is delivered by the classroom teachers and gives students the tools to build and maintain positive social skills.
