Ms. Martin received her bachelor's of Music Education with focus in voice from the University of New Hampshire. She continued her education at Lesley University for a Masters in Education, Integrating Arts into the Curriculum. Ms. Martin has received her Orff-Schulwerk level I certification from the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and continuously attends workshops dedicated to a variety of elementary music pedagogies. She has held positions within Massachusetts Music Educators Association's Eastern District such as the Treble Chorus Manager for Junior District, Manager for General Music Festivals, and the position of General Music Coordinator for the Eastern District of Massachusetts Music Educators Association. Ms. Martin has had experience directing children's choirs for over a decade. Her passion also lies in musical theater, having directed children's musicals in the public schools and also held the interim Director of Summer Programs at the Riverside Theater Works in 2017. It is Ms. Martin's ultimate goal as an elementary music educator to open doors for her students to embrace a lifelong appreciation of music as both listeners and participants.
