March is Women's History Month!  The library has many books and games to help you learn more about and appreciate women's history!

 Some of the best (and worst) movies and shows in recent years have been adaptations of books.  We have many of those books!  It's always good to read the book too, even if you (gasp) watched the adaptation first!  Come by the library to see what we have, and also let me know if anything should be added! 

February is Black History Month!  We have so many great books that celebrate Black history and amplify Black voices.  Come check one out! 

Valentine's Day is approaching!  Whether you love it or dread it, we have a story for you!  We have everything from romantic comedies to tragic love stories to friendship stories. 

Looking for some award-winning literature?  On January 22, the American Library Association announced winners of the Youth Media Awards.  We have many of the winners and nominees in our library!  Other titles are available on Sora or are on order!  Stop by to grab one OR to learn how to use Sora!

December 2023 marks 82 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Learn more about that day and its aftermath, from the United States involvement in World War II to internment camps for Japanese Americans.  We have many books from multiple perspectives and in different formats (historical fiction, non-fiction, graphic).

November is Native American Heritage Month.  The library has many great books that amplify Native voices and stories. Please check one out!

October 1-7 is Banned Books Week!

This week celebrates the freedom to read and spotlights attempts to censor books in libraries and schools.  Many of the books you have enjoyed as a child and read in school have been challenged or banned!
