In this course, students will experience a demanding college-level curriculum that assumes mastery of the prerequisite content from previous math courses and aligns to the CollegeBoard’s AP Statistics syllabus, which includes a variety of topics in the areas of random sampling, using probability and simulation to predict outcomes, and using statistical inference to confirm models. All students enrolled in this course are required to take the May AP exam. This course is intended for 12th grade students who are considering pursuing a four year college degree in a liberal arts or social sciences field or 11th grade students (with approval from the Math Director) who have excelled in Course 1 and Course 2 Honors and plan to pursue a four year college degree in a business or a STEM-related field. A graphing calculator and fully completed summer assignment are requirements of this course.
