In this course, students will deepen and extend their understanding of algebraic, geometric, and statistical concepts addressed in Course 2. Emphasis will be placed in four critical areas: (1) polynomial, rational, and radical functions; (2) expanding right triangle trigonometry to general triangles; (3) applying a variety of functions to solve contextual problems and create models; and (4) drawing inferences and conclusions from data using probability and statistics models. For the honors level, additional topics will include logarithmic functions, transformations of trigonometric functions, and analytic trigonometry if time allows.
