U.S. History I is a political, social, and economic examination of events that shaped the creation and progression of the United States, with a focus on major themes in early American history: the American Revolution, the creation of our Constitution, a growing sense of dichotomy and sectionalism, the American Civil War and the era of Reconstruction. The course provides a foundation of historical knowledge in American history, and students continue to explore content and develop skills in the areas of historical inquiry and critical thinking. Students must pass two years of US History to graduate.
