VIROLOGY COURSE Honors 30410 College Prep 30310

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Biology
Students will explore viruses, their reproductive cycles, transmission, immune system response, vaccines, evolution, testing, treatment, prevention, and local and global responses. Students will use multiple communication techniques to demonstrate their understanding. Students will choose a virus to research during the course, such as, but not limited to coronavirus, human immunodeficiency virus, influenza virus, ebola, herpes virus, and human papillomavirus. Students will use multiple communication forms and apply 21st century learning expectations to show their understanding such as, but not limited to, building models, creating a Google Site, creating a poster with a QR code, live presentation, and writing a paper.Â
