Students will also garner some knowledge of the business-side of journalism, including advertising and sales, as well as the use of technology to enhance layout, design, and the delivery of the news. Most importantly, students will come to understand what ethical and responsible journalism means in regards to writing and publication, including how to identify media bias and real versus fake news. Students may elect this course for a second semester for an additional 2.5 credits.
