Body Systems
The body has many organs, but they all have to work together to keep a person up and running.
There are a bunch of body systems, each in charge of an important part of the body. They all work together and rely on each other to function.
The digestive system turns food into nutrients that the blood carries to the other systems.
The respiratory system supplies oxygen to all the other systems.
The skeletal system is a framework that supports and protects the other systems.
The muscular system moves the skeletal system. The involuntary muscles, like the heart and stomach, are essential for all other body systems to function.
All body systems rely on the circulatory system to supply blood and carry out oxygen.
The immune system protects all the other systems from infection.
Finally, the nervous system is the one that controls all the others!
