A dedicated scholar with a strong interest in STEM, Bronson challenged himself with a demanding schedule of honors, AP, and college-level courses during his time at Mill River. Bronson will be earning both of Mill River’s distinctions of the Music Academy’s Performing Arts Endorsement and Visual Arts Endorsement from our arts department. In addition, he is only two courses away from earning his Associate's degree from Vermont State University in Mathematics this summer.
During his Junior year, Bronson was honored for his continued achievement by being awarded the Rensselaer Medal Scholarship for academic achievement in mathematics and science, the Russell Sage Student Award for academic excellence and community involvement, and the University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb honorary science award. Additionally, Bronson was recognized by various Mill River departments for his dedication to both his academics and leadership within our school and the greater community. Beyond the classroom, Bronson has contributed meaningfully to the school community through various roles in student activities, mentoring programs, and service events. His peers and teachers alike know him for his quiet determination, collaborative spirit, and deep sense of responsibility. Bronson has been a long-standing member of the Interact Club, providing community service within our school and community. During the summer Bronson attended Governor’s Institute of Vermont Engineering program while holding a rigorous college-level course load.
Whether tackling complex academic material or lending support to fellow students, Bronson brings thoughtfulness and focus to everything he does. His achievements reflect not just strong academics but also the values of persistence and curiosity. Bronson’s passion for learning, especially in the areas of math and science, has led him to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Vermont this fall; he is also thrilled to be attending UVM's Honors College.
Mill River congratulates Bronson Patch on earning the title of Valedictorian and wishes him continued success as he begins the next chapter of his education and career.
