Metrowest Pride recognizes that basketball is only one facet of a young person’s life. Our mission is to be a memorable part of their journey by providing a healthy and safe environment where confidence in their athletic abilities can soar; they can hone their basketball skills, while enjoying the camaraderie of their fellow teammates and coaches and the thrill of playing a competitive game of basketball. As an organization we do not emphasize basketball as the number one priority over other areas of our young athletes’ lives. In fact, many of our athletes play multiple sports. We also do not emphasize winning and losing as the main priority of our program. In fact, we do not compete in state or national tournaments. We feel strongly that "games" have become over-emphasized in today's youth sports culture. While we certainly compete in local tournaments, practice is our number one priority. Our commitment is to complete the personal growth of our players. Simply put, the goal is for each player to get better in our program. We believe in our coaching methodology as a means to that end.
Fall: Our program begins the last week of August and ends the last week of October. We will practice one (1) day a week and play in 3 tournaments. We will not play Labor Day or Columbus Day weekends.
Spring: Our program begins the last week of March and ends the weekend before Memorial Day. We will practice one (1) day a week and play in 4 tournaments. We do not play on Mother's Day or on Memorial Day weekend.
