PROGRAM UPDATES
January 2026 - Students visited DBI in Lincoln and listened to a presentation from one of the founding brothers, including a shop tour and tips and tricks to kickstarting a career in welding and manufacturing.
New England Outdoor Center Career Day
February 2026 - 9 students from Stearns joined a day at NEOC getting a preview of some of the different career opportunities offered at a local resort and outdoor center. Students rotated through 4 sessions led by local professionals in Outdoor Recreation, Marketing and Sales, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage. Students got a chance to try out job tasks including skiing, making beds, inventory care, and making their own pizzas for lunch. Thank you to those who spent the time talking to our students about the great opportunities available locally!

October 2025 - Tiffany Rosario presented to 5 of our students about her career in ultrasound and medical imaging. Students had a chance to get 1:1 insight on choosing this career path and what a day in the life of an ultrasound technician at a rural hospital is like.Â

April 2025 - 10 Stearns students were joined with students from Greenville on a day at the University of Maine touring the Engineering facilities, including the world's biggest 3D printer. Pictured here are students interacting with nanocellulose at the Process Development Center.
