Reading:
Students will be reading a lot during the school day! This year, we will continue with the HMH Into Reading program. Students will take part in guided reading groups, independent reading and read alouds. It is very important that children continue to practice reading at home nightly. Having a discussion about what they have read can get them more familiar with summarizing, picking out important details, characters and setting.
The students will be given comprehension, vocabulary and grammar test based on our stories. You can use this link to enter HMH Into Reading.

Math:
We will continue to use the Math Modules through our third grade curriculum. There are 7 math modules: Multiplication & Division, Place Value and Problem Solving with Units of Measurement, Multiplication in Area, Fractions, Data and Graphing and Word Problems/Perimeter. On EngageNY you can find each individual lesson as well as the homework pages if your child forgot their book in school. Feel free to either print out the corresponding pages or just write down the answers on a piece of paper. We will also be learning our Multiplication Songs this year! Feel free to sing along!
