Google Classroom:
Every class will have its own personal Google Classroom link, which will be given to students in class. Throughout the year, I will post resources and assignments on Google Classroom for students.
Study Sync:
The Study Sync program we will be using as our primary curriculum is a textbook and an online platform-based, and we will have a standard workbook that students can use in class. StudySync offers students a wealth of opportunities to interact with high-quality texts that span a variety of genres, cultures, and eras. Students explore topics in-depth through groupings of related selections that address a person, era, idea, or event from multiple perspectives and in multiple text forms.
END OF COURSE EXAM:
Georgia requires that the End of Course test be given to students concentrating on 10th Grade Literature and Composition II. This test will count 15% of a student's final grade. I will post resources from the state and alternative sources that students may use to help prepare. My primary focus will be to create well-rounded readers and to help students become better writers. This test is essential, and we will work towards higher writing and reading standards to encourage passing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime. I will be sending information home with students as well.
